Created between 2018 and 2019, Ooi's series "Without Interrupting the System" were made using his process-based technique of taking handmade Japanese gampi papers and cutting, folding, unfolding, painting, and refolding. These hundreds to thousands of individual papers are then assembled together by hand to form abstract and geometric designs.
