Tony Cavalline’s paintings explore the subjectivity of memory and the mythologizing of experience. He is inspired by the idea that our experience of the world is a creation of our perception of the past. His artwork explores the stories we carry of where we have been, what we have seen, and who we are. Fragments of memory are gathered, reassembled, and sculpted in our minds to form the world we inhabit. Every recollection is an act of creation.
