Sara Catapano’s ceramic sculptures inhabit the threshold between the familiar and the otherworldly. Inspired by biological growth and transformation, her forms evoke coral colonies, fungal networks, and alien flora. These are worlds that might exist just beyond human perception. Through meticulous surface work and luminous color, Catapano transforms clay into living matter, capturing the strange beauty of decay, regeneration, and adaptation. Ascoma continues her exploration of nature’s resilience and the quiet intelligence embedded in organic design.
