Lynne Feinberg: Study for Columns

Feinberg's paintings on paper are created from repeated elements, like borders, grids, and compartments that hold fragments of imagery. Her artwork moves between systems that feel deliberate and moments that interrupt them. Faces appear, but they don’t anchor the composition. They sit inside larger frameworks that carry just as much weight. Drawing is her constant. Her lines sets the terms and color shifts emphasis, sometimes reinforcing the structure, sometimes pushing against it.
