Dorothy Parker poem on back
"There is so much to forgive in life, and a start must be made somewhere. Begin with yourself and move on." - David Ashton
This is an old, old shrine at a crossroads. Disappointed lovers stop to pray to the Virgin Mary for the return of love. Visitors leave stones to note their prayers. "A Wayside Shrine" holds special meaning for Becker, plus she laughs when she looks at the gun. It's a humorous comment on the human condition.
