Lauren Braun

Lauren Braun is a visual artist and certified mindful facilitor based in Pittsburgh, PA. She creates mixed media collages, mobiles, drawings, paintings, and small sculptural objects. Braun explores themes of transformation, adaptation, and meditation in her artwork. She creates her own collage components in a cyclical process of drawing, painting, cutting, and arranging. She is inspired by Nature and the organic shapes and endless variations of seashells, the Art Deco Movement, constructed photography, and the women of Surrealism.

Braun is a recipient of a 2022 Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Award through the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. She serves as a mentor for the Brewhouse Association's Distillery Emerging Artists program as well as for the 2022 Mindfulness Facilitator Certification program at the Copper Beech Institute. She facilitates workshops on Creativity & Mindfulness at Contemporary Craft. She holds a Master's Degree in Fine Art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston and a BFA in Art Photography from Syracuse University. Her artwork is included in the collections of the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia and PNC Bank.
